  • Fishing and Sailing

You will find some fishing spots with the fisherman’s boat near the Villa. The fishermen sailed out at night and in the day they will pull their boat to the shore. It’s always possible if you want to sail to the cliffs or sailing along the beach. Please discuss about this with a fisherman if he will take you sailing along with him.

  • Watching the Dolphins

You can watch the dolphins on an early morning. At 6 AM you can make a reservation. The boat will sail about 3 km away from the coast to find the dolphins. This excursion will take about 2 hours.

  • Snorkeling and Diving

By the cliffs of Lovina you can snorkelling and diving. If you would like to snorkelling by the cliffs, please ask the fisherman if he can take you there. There are Diving schools which offered for diving excursion in the area.

  • Buddhist monastery Brahma Vihara Ashmara in Banjar

There is one Buddhist temple in Bali where you can find on the hills. You will also find many Thai iconographic elements in the Temple. Because of the similarity to Borobudur in Yogyakarta, they called it “Little Borobudur”.

  • Hot springs Air Panas in Banjar

On the hills you can find this hot springs too. Take a relaxing bath outside in a warm healing water.

  • Market from Seririt

Only few kilometres away, you can buy fresh goods at the authentic market of Seririt.

  • Going out, shopping and dining

Lovina is the most visit place in the north Bali. You will find many shops, restaurants and bars where they have live music 'till late on midnight. Book a bus and organise a trip in Bali, to Lombok and Java, art and library from Singaraja. Singaraja is big city and it’s about 14 kilometers away from the Villa. You can reach this city approx. 1,5 hours drive. Singaraja was the capital city of Bali until 1958. In Singaraja you can go nice shopping, also the market and the library with their old documents are must visit.

  • Pura Meduwe Karang

This is a special temple because you can find the Dutch bike at the Frisian. The kids will sing a match song on a request.

 

Approx. an hour drive from Villa Balinice

  • Gitgit Waterfalls

You have to walk about 15 minutes from the main road to Denpasar, to the Bali’s highest waterfalls. You will pass variety of shops with pictures, Sarong and Batik if you like bargaining. And then walk directly to the waterfalls. The waterfalls falls from 80 meters height.

  • Twin Waterfalls

About further away from Gitgit is the Twin Waterfalls. It’s more quiet than Gitgit. The waterfalls is smaller but the view surrounding it, is more beautiful.

  • Rice Fields

In Bali you will see many rice fields. The most famous rice fields are near Ubud. The fields here are in the terrace style.

  • Market from Bedugul

Bedugul located at the rim of Bratan sea’s crater. There is botanic garden in the area outside of the biggest tourist market, the very beautiful golf course from Handara and the Ura Ulun Dana Bratan temple. You can also make an expedition on the Buyan sea and take canoe on the way back.

  • Handara Kosaido Golf & Country Club

The 18 holes golf course belongs to the top 5 from Asia. Even if you don’t play golf, it is wort the time to visit. You can visit the course and it’s free. Because it’s located on about 1000 Meters height, the temperature is very cozy. The atmosphere is mostly covered with fogs which give the mystic vibes.

  • Buyan and Bratan Sea

These seas situated at the higher altitudes. They’re originated from volcano's eruption.

  • Pura Ulun Danu Bratan

This temple stuated on Bratan sea. Because of the high altitude, the atmosphere is mostly covered with fogs. Sometimes the sun comes out and then you can shoot your unique pictures.

  • Ubud

Ubud is famous as the centre of art Bali. If you’re looking for the beautiful souvenirs, you will find it here.

  • Goa Gajah

At the surrounding area from Ubud situated the holy Goa Gajah (The Elephant’s cave). The cave outside is fully decorated and inside the cave is not that special. It’s located in a beautiful area with the lovely planting.

  • Barong Dance

If you love the folklore, you could book the traditional Barong dance performance. The performance takes a place in the afternoon and in the evening. The Dance lasts about one hour. The meaning of the dance is the war between the good and the bad.

  • Pura Taman Ayun in Mengwi

This temple is the second biggest temple in Bali. The Taman Ayun temple is boardered by broad canals. The temple symbolised the cosmic sea Hindus. The high towers present the height of the mountains - the home of Gods.

  • Batur Kratersee

Gunung Batur (Mount Batur) is the most active volcano in Bali. In the last 200 years it has been erupted more than 20 times. The biggest eruption was in 1917. The slopes are rough and dry through the volcanic activity. The mountain is surrounded by the spectacular caldera in the middle of the crater's lake. The top of the mountain exploded by the eruption.

  • Rafting

In Bali you can do rafting every day - the whole year. It is amazing that in the small island always have enough water which always flows in the rivers. The famous rivers for rafting are Ayung river in Ubud, Telaga Waja river and Unda river at the slopes of Mt. Agung. The difficulty levels are I-III, it is save for beginners that is still spectacular enough for them. The rivers are surrounded by the un-touch jungle and a lot of rapids. There is a 4 meters high waterfalls at the end of Telaga Waja where you can go down with the boat.

  • Pura Besakih

Pura Besakih located at the slopes of Mt. Agung and the most famous temple complex in Bali. Here you can find many kind of temples. During the earthquake in 1917 the complex has been devastated but they renovated it. During the eruption of Mt. Agung in 1963 miraculously the lava flows missed the complex.

  • Surfing in Kuta

Kuta beach and Nusa Dua are the most visited place in Bali. In Kuta there are more sailboarding fans. Because the wave of the Indian ocean gives an amazing surf circumstance. Besides surfing, Kuta is famous with their night-life.

  • Pura Tanah Lot

Pura Tanah Lot is the most visit temple in Bali. Many tourists are coming to the temple in the evening to watch the beautiful sunsets. The temple situated on the small island and it has a special shape on sunsets. Before and after the sunsets you can buy some souvenirs at the souvenirs shops.

  • Parasailing in Nusa Dua

Nusa Dua located on Bukit Badung’s peninsula is the most important tourist object besides Kuta in Bali. There are many beautiful hotels that specialised built only for tourism. You can do many kind of water sport here like, catamaran sailing and parasailing.

  • Pura Luhur Watu

The temple situated on the west side of rough and dry Bukit Badung’s peninsula. The temple is atop sheer cliffs that drop straight into the Indian ocean.

 

Day trips or longer

Volcano and temple in Java (Ijen, Bromo, Borobudur, Prambanan and Yogyakarta). A day trip to East Java will wake your stay in Bali more enjoyable. East Java is part of the island that is reachable from Bali. You can see different places here. The possible way is to fly to Yogyakarta and from there you can make a round trip. The other possible way is to make one-day trip or more with our driver from the Villa. Our driver is a Javanese and he will make the trip more fun.

You can take a ferry on a long trip to Java and there you can visit the coffee farm and then come back. With the two-days trip you can visit Kawah Ijen. It located in East Java. It is less famous but worth seeing because the incredibly colourful sea and because it obtains a Brimstone. The brimstone carrier climbs up the volcano and pick up 100 kg brimstone 2 times a day and carried those stone to the slopes of the mountains. It is better to visit the crater in the early morning because the clouds are covering the view in the afternoon. If you have booked from Villa Balinice, we will give you the exact information.
